Spacious, comfortable accommodation in an old Suffolk farmhouse on a 250 acre organic farm in north-east Suffolk.

Brights Farm is a classic three storey Grade II listed 15th century farmhouse set at the heart of a working organic mixed farm. We have 100 beef cows producing Aberdeen Angus X calves, which are born all year round. This is a traditional Suffolk farm with three generations living on and involved with the farm.

The farm has a Special Area Of Conservation (SAC), which is one of only 236 sites in England. From the farm you can access twelve miles of grass walks passing a variety of different habitats including old meadows, ancient woods and ponds. Fantastic bird watching, dragonflies, damsel flies, great crested newts, red deer and more hares than you can count are all to be seen from the front door.

The accommodation is all on the first floor:

  • Twin-bedded room, large south facing with en-suite very generous bathroom. Panoramic view of farmland, garden and pond.
  • King size double room, south facing with en-suite character bathroom. Stunning views of farmland and woods.
  • Single room, west facing with large en-suite shower room. Pretty view of garden and pond.
  • Double Room in new wing. This spacious room is the first floor of the new wing (to the left of the house in the picture at the top of this page) and has a private bathroom. The bed can be arranged as a kingsized double bed or as a pair of twin beds.

All rooms are spacious and fully heated with individual thermostats (warm in winter/cool in summer). Comfortably furnished with armchair, tea /coffee making facilities (fresh milk).

Guests' Sitting room, on the ground floor, with wood burning stove and TV with DVD player.

Breakfast is served in the garden room overlooking the pond. Full English or Continental breakfast is served and local kippers are available by request. Only fresh locally produced high quality ingredients are cooked for breakfast including organic produce from the farm (eggs, bread, damson jam, raspberries, strawberries).

Location
Brights Farm is close to the Suffolk Heritage Coast.
Bramfield village is one mile away with its award winning Queen's Head Pub (very good food and Adnams Ales).
By car it is just 10 minutes to Dunwich, Minsmere or Walberswick and 15 minutes to Southwold or Snape. In 25 minutes you could get to Aldeburgh or Framlingham.
